Step-by-Step Assembly Instructions

Follow the steps below to assemble your Outsunny Garden Dining Table (84G-691V00) correctly and securely.

Step 01: Join the Two Tabletop Panels

  • Lay both Tabletop Panels (A) face-down on a flat surface, side by side with inner edges touching.
  • Check the pre-drilled holes at the centre join are lined up.
  • Fit one Flat Washer (K) onto each M6×70 Bolt (J), then push each bolt down through the holes from the top (face-down) side.
  • From underneath, thread a Nylon Lock Nut (L) onto each bolt by hand.
  • Use the Allen Key (M) to hold the bolt still, and the Open-End Spanner (N) to turn the Lock Nut, do not fully tighten yet.

Step 02: Attach the Leg Frames to the Tabletop

  • Keep the Tabletop Panels (A) face-down from Step 01.
  • At each short end, position one Right-Hand Leg Frame (B) and one Left-Hand Leg Frame (C), these two together form one side leg assembly. Repeat at the other end as shown in the image.
  • The frames will angle outward slightly at this stage, this is normal.
  • Line up the holes on each leg frame with the holes on the tabletop underside.
  • Fit one Flat Washer (K) under each M6×40 Bolt (H) head, then push the bolt upward through the frame and into the tabletop hole. (3 bolts per frame, 12 bolts total)
  • Hand-tighten only, do not fully tighten yet.

Step 03: Fit the Centre Connection Rails

  • Lower both Centre Connection Rails (E) onto the underframe, one along each long side, connecting the leg assemblies.
  • Fit one Flat Washer (K) under each M6×13 Bolt (F) head, then insert through the rails into the leg frames.
  • Hand-tighten only, do not fully tighten yet.

Step 04: Fit the Leg Cross Support Frames

  1. Position both Leg Cross Support Frames (D) across the underframe, one at each short end, bridging the leg assemblies.
  2. Fit one Flat Washer (K) under each M6×28 Bolt (G) head, then insert through the frame into the leg assemblies.
  3. Hand-tighten only, do not fully tighten yet.

Final Check:

Before carrying out the checks below, go back and fully tighten all bolts using the Allen Key (M) and Open-End Spanner (N) where applicable.

Then confirm the following:

  • All four legs make firm, even contact with the floor, the table should not rock or wobble.
  • The tabletop surface sits flat and even, with no visible gap between the two Tabletop Panels (A) at the centre join.
  • The Leg Cross Support Frames (D) and Centre Connection Rails (E) are rigid and do not flex under light hand pressure.
  • All bolts feel firm, re-tighten with the Allen Key (M) if any movement is detected.

Your Outsunny Garden Dining Table is now fully assembled.

Care and Maintenance

  • Tabletop Panels: Wipe the slatted surface with a lightly damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvent-based products. For stubborn marks, a mild soapy solution applied with a soft cloth works well.
  • Metal Frame: If scratches appear on the powder-coated steel frame, touch these up with a suitable outdoor metal paint to prevent rust forming beneath the surface coating.
  • Bolts and Fixings: Periodically check all bolts using the Allen Key (M) and re-tighten if any looseness is detected. Pay particular attention to the M6×70 Bolts (J) at the tabletop centre joint and the M6×40 Bolts (H) at the leg frames, as these bear the most load during regular use.
  • Storage: If storing the table long-term, keep it in a dry location away from prolonged moisture. Using a fitted outdoor furniture cover during wet weather or winter months will significantly extend its lifespan.

FAQs

1. What should I do if the pre-drilled holes do not line up between parts?

Do not force the bolts as this can strip the threads or crack the frame. Lay the parts flat, recheck their orientation against the parts list, and try repositioning. If holes are genuinely misaligned due to a manufacturing fault, contact Aosom customer support before proceeding.

2. What type of surface is best for using this table outdoors?

A firm, level surface such as paving slabs, decking, or compacted gravel is ideal. Soft or uneven ground such as the lawn can cause the leg frames to sink unevenly over time, placing stress on the underframe joints and potentially loosening the bolts.

3. How do I know if a bolt has been overtightened and damaged the frame?

Signs of overtightening include the bolt spinning freely without gripping, visible cracking around the hole, or a bolt head that feels rounded and difficult to turn. If this happens, stop immediately and contact Aosom support, as a damaged joint can affect the structural safety of the table.
